Foundry Dit and Dat are based on a horizontal dash grid system.
Set solid, Dat’s integrated background aligns both vertically and horizontally, forming a continuous pattern. Dit functions legibly as
a correspondence font.

The two typeface families of Foundry Dit and Dat each contain light, regular, medium and bold weights, and are available in OpenType format for Mac and PC.

The grid dash structure registers throughout, allowing characters
to be accurately superimposed with progressive layering and colour variation. Included in both Dit and Dat are a series of dash characters that enable the designer to create further grid patterns with ease,
not only can the characters be placed over each other, they can
also be offset to create different types of patterns. The characters themselves become images, as a graphic language giving total integration of form and function.
